Coding is simple if you have internet access!
Since the entire ICD9, 10 is on Wikipedia with correct updated links, why not just allow user to once search the specific term, cut and paste the entire code with description to a VR macro...and then use a trigger word in front to ICD code to utter it and the software spills out the ICD in the correct from with its code. The same goes for cpt codes. The whole EMR fiasco was built around automated billing from physician data entry. This is a lousy way to use precious physican time. Dragon or any voice doctation software should do this without even spending a penny on natural language coding. Let us stop wasting money!
Example Uttering "Diagnosis-gastroparesis" will print out "Gastroparesis ( K31.84)" and go to new line
